Dr. Ariel Koch is a member of the Doron Halpern Middle East Network Analysis Desk (MENAD) at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies.

Ariel's specialization is in the study of extremist movements in contemporary Europe. His research focuses on the nexus between Salafi-Jihadis, the new extremist right and the new extremist left, while exploring the causes for the emergence of these groups and their activities both on the street and in the online space.

Ariel completed his B.A at Ariel University and his M.A and Ph.D at Bar-Ilan University, all in Middle Eastern Studies. He has years of experience in monitoring investigating the activities of extremist groups on the Internet in general and on social networks more specifically.
