Laura Jean Brantley is from Rancho Cucamonga, California and graduated from California State University, San Bernardino. She received a dual B.A. degree in Political Science and Arabic Literature, Language, and Culture cum laude. As a result of her hard work, Laura was recognized as the Outstanding Undergraduate of the Class of 2013. Additional awards include the Strategic Language Initiative Scholarship and the Critical Language Scholarship. Laura is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in politics at Claremont Graduate University. Her emphasis includes American politics, security studies, and the Middle East.
During 2015, Laura recieved an Amira Margalith Summer Internship. As part of her activities at the Moshe Dayan Center, she contributed an article to the MDC's social media analysis journal, Beehive.
