From a murderous ideology to a moderate society: transforming and rebuilding Gaza after Hamas

Date
This special report was presented four months ago to Israel's National Security Council and the War Cabinet, addressing one of the key questions about the "day after" the Israel-Hamas War: how to create conditions that would allow for the rehabilitation of Gazan society while transforming it into a culture that does not promote jihad. The report was written by Prof. Danny Orbach and Prof. Netta Barak-Corren from the Hebrew University, Dr. Netanel Flamer from Bar-Ilan University, and Dr. Harel Chorev from the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University.

Black Sabbath - The Battle to defend Kibbutz Alumim

Date
Prof. Bruce Maddy-Weitzman wrote in Tablet magazine about the battle to defend Kibbutz Alumim on October 7. This special article is based largely on in-depth interviews with most of the Alumim defenders and with a number of others who played crucial roles, on captured Hamas documents provided by IDF, and on a meeting with Alumim’s surviving Thai workers.
