“Back to the Middle East” is the Moshe Dayan Center (MDC) podcast. In it, we discuss various aspects relating to the Middle East, across timeline: past (history), present (news), future (trends) – and of course, everything in between. In the podcast, MDC researchers and other guests come together to ask: Where are we? How did we get here, and where will it all take us?
In this special English-speaking episode, we spoke about the Gulf States, the unwilling participants of the war between the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran on the other. We discussed the regional and international strategies of the various Gulf states before and during the Iran war, as well as possible changes to their policy in light of all that has happened.
Guests:
Dr. Brandon Friedman, Director of Research at MDC and an expert on the Gulf states.
Dr. Daniela Giulia Traub, Researcher at MDC, an IR expert on normalization between Muslim countries (including the Gulf states) and Israel.
Host: Dr. Jonathan Franco, researcher at MDC.
