Dr. Itamar Radai presented a paper entitled, "al-Madaniyyat: An Alternative Civil Agenda for the Arab Citizens" as part of a panel entitled, "The Palestinian Arab Citizens in Israel: Between Political Divergence and Civil Convergence," at the 33rd Annual Conference of the Association for Israel Studies.

Dr. Paul Rivlin participated in a conference held by the UCLA Nazarian Center, which dealt with the impact of the 1967 war on Israel's state and society.

On 24 May 2017, the Sephardi Voices Project was officially launched as part of the MDC's Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands. The SV Project will enable the collection, archiving, and cataloging of thousands of oral histories from those who were forced to leave their homes in Arab countries in the years following the establishment of the State of Israel.
