Dr. Shaul Bartal is Researcher at Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies, Tel-Aviv University and at Instituto do Oriente (IO), Universidade de Lisboa. He is the author of The Fedayeen Emerge: The Palestine-Israel Conflict, 1949-1956 (AuthorHouse, 2011); Jihad in Palestine: Political Islam and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (Routledge, 2016); New Forms of Palestinian Terror Against Israel: A Profile of Al-Quds Intifada (Edwin Mellen Press, 2017). He is the co-author with Nesya Rubinstein-Shemer of Hamas and Ideology: Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi on the Jews, Zionism and Israel (Routledge, 2018) and has written several articles about the Israeli-Arab conflict and Tunisian politics.
