The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies was proud to host a delegation from the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo, led by Prof. Satoshi Ikeuchi, for a round-table discussion entitled, "North Korean and Iranian Issues in Comparative Perspectives and Japan and Israel in Changing Security Environments." Prof. Ori Sela, Head of the Department of East Asia Studies, and Dr. Liora Sarfati, a lecturer in that department, also participated in the meeting, as did Dr. Alon Levkowitz, of the BESA Center at Bar-Ilan University.
The first session of the meeting focused on geopolitics and new security environments in the Middle East and East Asia, while the second dealt with China and the changing world order in the East Asian and Middle Eastern contexts.
We are grateful to all who helped make this meeting a reality, and look forward to many more years of fruitful collaboration!
