Lebanon: An Unwilling Host for Syrian Refugees
MDC Summer 2016 intern Hannah Nowikow explores the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Diwaniyya is the Arabic word for "informal council." It connotes open discussion, and a 'meeting of the minds.' At the MDC, the Diwaniyya blog serves as a platform for interns and graduate students to present their personal research, to explore new ideas, and to "drill down" into particular areas in an effort to stimulate conversation about interesting and important contemporary Middle Eastern issues.
