Dr. Yogev Elbaz is a post-doctoral fellowship in The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies. He completed his BA in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies and Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry, and his MA in Israel Studies - both at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His Ph.D. thesis – Israel's Intervention in Lebanon (1969-1982) as a Case-Study to its Policy in the Middle East – examined Israel's policy in Lebanon from a broad prism of its policy toward the Middle East. His research interests are Israel's secret relations in the region, the Middle Eastern system and Israeli mythology. Elbaz founded the "Forum for Israel Studies" at the Hebrew University, and serves as scientific editor of the journal Yesodot: Studies in the History of the IDF.
