The Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University is pleased to invite outstanding researchers to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship for the 2025–2026 academic year (October 2025–September 2026). The 2025–2026 Postdoctoral Fellowship offers a one-year scholarship in the total amount of NIS 77,000.
Eligibility:
- The fellowship is open to researchers who are specializing in modern and applied aspects of Middle Eastern studies.
- Applications will be considered from those who have submitted their dissertation or were awarded a PhD after October 1, 2020.
Requirements:
- Fellows are expected to dedicate most of their time to research, to publish during the period of their fellowship, and to participate actively in the Center’s activities, including seminars, conferences, workshops, and lectures.
- Fellows are subject to the conditions and regulations set out by Tel Aviv University.
Documents required for application:
- A short research proposal (1-2 pages).
- A summary of the applicant’s dissertation (up to two pages) and a writing sample (a dissertation chapter or a published article).
- PhD diploma or certificate of eligibility noting the date the degree was awarded, or a written (administrative) proof of submission of the PhD thesis for review.
- Letters of recommendation, as follows:
- A letter from PhD supervisor(s) (all supervisors must submit a letter of recommendation).
- A letter from researcher external to the University in which the candidate completed their doctoral studies.
- A letter from PhD supervisor(s) (all supervisors must submit a letter of recommendation).
- CV, including a list of publications.
Applications should be submitted by email, to stal@tauex.tau.ac.il no later than July 15, 2025. Interviews of selected candidates will be held in August. A final decision will be made by September.
